So how do you go from walking through the door to sitting in the hairdressers chair without a little trauma along the way?
The Hairband experience means that from the moment you enter the salon, you are being cared for. You're offered an extensive range of complimentary refreshments, including wine of the month, beer, or even fizz delivered from our coffee bar. You are welcomed and assigned to your hair designer and given a face to face consultation.
Many elements come into play to find the right haircut, so the designers expertise is essential to the process. Hair type, face and body shape, the clients personal vision, and of course, the level of the clients home styling capability are all deciding factors in choosing the right style.
You are then taken to the aromatherapy hair spa, where you will experience a luxury shampoo and special massage technique, after which your hair designer will welcome you again, to take you through your haircut , along with product recommendations and how to style at home.
The care does not end there, on leaving, you will be given a client pack with a personal hair plan, styling advice and other goodies.
There are also a wide range of price plans available that cater for every requirement.
Prices start from £19.95 and go up to £59.95 for fully inclusive design cutting and styling, with prices based on the designers experience.
“We believe we have a hair designer and price to suit all budgets” says salon owner Paul.
The Hairband has become a talking point for another reason over the past 30 years. The shops window displays on Ecclesall Road draw people from around Sheffield. They change every 8 weeks and are a particular point of pride for Paul.
“I personally create our window displays which have been compared to those of Harvey Nichols on more that one occasion!”
